FREE Ways to Grow Your Market

There are three techniques that can grow your market, your customers, and ultimately your income, that are absolutely FREE!  

  1. Talking – This is more than just an “elevator pitch.” This is talking about your business, and sharing resourceful information with others. Get comfortable asking questions about other’s business, what is meaningful and impactful to them, and offer up ways that you and your business can bring value.
  2. Writing – I’ll admit, I used to hate writing. This is not the place to worry about being your High School English Teacher’s star student. It’s a place to express your brand, your products and services through the written word. Like the above “talking” reference, it is another medium with which you can get in front of potential clients. Using things like: blogs, emails, newsletters, and social media posts that describe and provide resourceful information will help you attract new business.
  3. Showing – You might be thinking, especially if you are in the service business, or if you don’t have a sexy product, how can I show others what I do? Sometimes it’s not about the actual product or service, but about the EXPERIENCE of working with you. How can you show what you and your company is like? Think of things like: Videos, Instagram Reels and Stories, hosting an open house at your business and make it a fun happy hour and networking event. Invite others into your space, and let them see how you work!

The bottom line is that you need to grow your exposure. By talking, writing and showing, and doing it consistently, you can get in front of your target market again and again and capture their attention.
